Today we had the awesome opportunity to have Blandford Nature Center come to our 4th grade classes! We were able to learn about food chain/webs, including Michigan examples of decomposers, herbivores, omnivores, and carnivores. We saw two types of turtles, a flying squirrel, a rabbit, an American Kestrel, and a barn owl. The kids had a blast seeing the different animals. We also got to touch a gray fox’s hide, a large mushroom, a snapping turtle back shell, and an owl’s talons.
